NAME: Cerys Elizabeth Philip (or Phillip) Matthews (Cerys is a Welsh name, pronounced 'Ker-iss', and apparently means 'Love' - awww how cute).

BIRTHDAY: 11th April 1969.

SEXUALITY: There has been some question as to Cerys' sexuality, mainly due to the 'she/her' lyrics in the album version if 'Strange Glue'. Cerys has been quoted as saying "No, I'm not gay." (sorry ladies). However she hasn't made any comment as to whether, or not, she's Bi-sexual.

QUALIFICATIONS: A' levels in 'Typing and appliqué' and 'Biology'. She spent a short time, after getting these, studying Psychiatric nursing! At the age of 21 she went to Fishguard high school to do 2 more A' levels, French and Welsh.

LINGUISTIC ABILITIES: Aswell as Speaking fluent Welsh and English, Cerys has a firm Grasp of French, Spanish and Catalan (which is also Spanish … sort of).

FIRST SNOG: She was 9, on a primary school trip to a field centre. However, she hasn't disclosed who it was with.

NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS: Had a romantic relationship with Mark Roberts (Catatonia Songwriter/Guitarist). She has had a relationship with Catatonia's Producer Tommy D, which ended a few months before her relationship with Anthony Glenn started. Current rumours suggest that Cerys and Anthony are currently engaged to be married.

FAVOURITE COCKTAIL: 'Death by Chocolate ' - Half a pint of stout (Guinness, Murphy's or Beamish) then add Tia Maria and Vodka.

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENTS: Falling arse-over-tip on a Karaoke stage in Ibiza while singing 'Mulder and Scully' (hence the song 'Karaoke Queen').
